So, I thought I lost all my sprites, and I started making a new sheet. Almost half way done, and what happens? I find my old template! Oh well, I like my new sprites better anyways. :)

Bamboo Post

I’m excited because I got a new Bamboo Wacom tablet! Although it did cost me my installation of windows. Also, I’ve given up writing in the 3rd person. Hooray for progress.

I wanted to “clean up” my broken install of Windows, but I accidentally overwrote it. So glad I hadn’t actually started on the game, and that everything I do have is safely backed up online. I will begin mapping any day now. I will finish the maps, sprites and animations before reinstalling RPG maker, so that I know I am committed to spending another $60. :/

Vacation’s Over

With summer classes starting tomorrow, it’s back to work for April. During the vacation, April noted that she hadn’t exactly been working on her game. She did, however, do some research into Goddesses. She explained:

“The name ‘Karma’ just didn’t cut it. I was searching for a goddess of justice or revenge that I could model Karma after. Actually, I just planned on stealing the name” she laughs manically. After tomorrow, regularly scheduled work on the game is planned, April, revealed another reason for her two-week long break.

“I blame it on Spore” she says. “When I picked it up, I just couldn’t stop destroying those Grox.” She is due in rehab today, to overcome her addiction, so that she may resume working on the game. April also worries about her classes as she is taking Biochemistry and Physics. However, she remains optimistic, as always at the start of the quarter.

Starting Over

Finally, a purpose to the blog! Aprilburials.com will be the home of an, as of yet untitled game development. The author is currently tweaking the layout, until it’s “just right”. With plans of semi-frequent upgrades on the progress, development, concepts or anything else she “seemds fit”, aprilburials.com will be exciting for both author and readers!

Here is a brief interview with the author:

So what exactly is it that you’re working on?
The game is untitled, not because I don’t know what it’ll be about, but because the title I had come up with, wasn’t very good. It’ll be a tactical RPG game full of non-stop, in-your-face twits and turns. The game will feature a female protagonist, struggling to succeed in a male’s world. Just kidding, but it will have a female protagonist, who will struggle, to come up with her own definition of what’s right and what’s wrong. That is all I’m willing to share.

How far along is it?
I’ve been “working” on it for a month, and currently, I have the background, plot, and the major characters fleshed out. I’m still working on the minor unlockable characters, which I feel need a backstory. Here’s the main character, by the way, in the ~~pixel~~ flesh:
